My personal choices from the huge
selection at RallyGifts
There's so much to choose from in the
RallyGifts site that I wouldn't know where to start but if you're
looking for a gift for someone (or maybe you'd just like to treat
yourself?), then you'll find plenty of choice here.
Books
There are books about Colin McRae, Richard Burns, Possum Bourne,
Walter Röhrl, Ford Escorts (my favourites!), the Safari Rally, and rally
navigation.
There's even one about peak physical fitness for motorsport
enthusiasts! Not for me, I hasten to add! I can just about
manage to walk from the car to the stage start and back again - and
then I'm pooped!
Co-drivers
The reason we started rallycodriver.co.uk back in March 2000 was to
promote co-drivers, who we believe are the salt of the earth!
So, if you are a co-driver and want
the best products to help you do the best job you can for your driver
and team, check these out: co-driver watches, binders, pens, and
Howard Davies' excellent book on how to be a brilliant co-driver (or
whatever the title is!). You can even buy a co-driver starter
pack.... what will they think of next? (See the column to the
right for a far better list than this!)
Videos and DVDs
There are a massive four pages of videos alone, never mind the DVDs -
covering the legends from my era - Juha Kankkunen (fondly known to us
at rallycodriver as Yee-haa), Pentti (we are not worthy!) Airikkala,
Ari Vatanen (I remember watching him and the late, great Henri
Toivonen in those snorty Mantas with the twin exhausts on the Rally of
the Thousand Lakes back in the 80s - ah, halcyon days).
I've now
gone into nostalgia mood and will have to put one of these videos on
immediately, so you'll just have to check out the rest of the videos
for yourself.
Team gear
Subaru, Peugeot, Ralliart, Ford, Citroen, Skoda all have an amazing
array of T-shirts, caps, gloves, key rings, lighters, shoulder bags,
watches, scarves, wallets, pens, and even a mug! There just had
to be one, didn't there?
And more...
There are also boys' toys, clocks,
calendars, some rather fine models of rally cars, and a whole section
devoted to kids - or should we just agree that it's all for kids?
All of us, really!
